Cory Monteith of Glee Dies at 31

Vancouver, BC - Cory Monteith, 31, died of a deadly mixture of alcohol and heroine on July 13th, 2013. Staff members found Monteiths body at the coast of Fairmont Pacific Rim, Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia (BC) after he missed his checkout time.   The Autopsy revealed that Monteith has struggled with conquering his demons of substance abuse.  According to doctors, after drug addict recovery, the tolerance of substances are lower, than taking them habitually would be higher. Glee Star he passed minutes after his last Tweet.  

His long time girlfriend Lea Michele was devastated and grieves along with his family over the incident. Michele’s PR Representatives released her public statement

 “…deeply grateful for all the love and support she has received from family, friends, and fans."  "Since Cory's passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them.”  "They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together."

Monteith had been frank about his struggles to conquer his demons of substance abuse.  He told in a 2011 interview with Parade magazine that he started using drugs when he was 12 years old and later had family and friend intervention to attended rehab when he was 19.  Due to his prior relapse of drug use, authorities state they will not ‘investigate’ who gave him the heroine.   

Since 2009, Monteith was one of the Stars of Fox’s hit musical GLEE, playing a quarterback jock football player who eventually joins geek forces of the glee club.  In the show he later comes back to direct a school musical.  He was even of love interest with Lea Michele on and off camera.   Adam Shankman, a supporting director described Montheith as the “glue of Glee” and always welcoming to new production team and new cast members in an interview with Poppy Harlow of CNN.
