Ariel Castro Get's 1,000 Years in Prison

Ariel Castro was convicted of holding 3 women
captive in a Cleveland, Ohio house for over a decade
OHIO (CNN)- Ariel Castro was sentenced to 1,000 years, life in prison without parole for  convicted murder of Amanda Berry, human trafficking of women, and rape. He agreed to serve life in prison without excepting capital punishment of the death penalty. Castro has been charged with 977 counts of aggravated murder, and killing a baby while one of his victims were pregnant.  His original plea was not guilty and bail was set to $8 million dollars.

Castro is charged with 977 counts, including aggravated murder and holding three women captive for over a decade, and on suspicion of ending the pregnancy of one of his alleged captives.  Amanda Berry, Georgina "Gina" DeJesus," and Michelle Knight were held hostage for 10 years in Castro's house in Cleveland Ohio.  A neighbor Charles Ramsey heard a cry for help and kicked in the door to free Amanda Berry and the little girl.  A DNA test proved that Berry who had the little girl proved Castro was the father.  Ariel Castro committed suicide in prison after the life sentence verdict.

VanishaPR's opinion: An easy escape to wrong, is just an easy pathway to Hades.

In 2003, Berry was kidnapped after she left from working at Burger King and disappeared close to her 17th birthday.  In April 2004, Gina DeJesus was taken at 14 yrs a year later after Berry was kidnapped.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported Knight, 21 at the time, was one of the first captives of Castro.

Earlier this month, the three women released an open youtube video giving thanks to those who stepped-up to rescue them.  Berry stated "I want to thank everyone who has helped me and my family through this entire ordeal. Everyone who has been there to support us has been a blessing," "I'm getting stronger each day."
