ScreenpShot and SnapShot Screen Capture Programs

67CamStudio

CamStudio is a good snapshot program where any project that you are working on you simply open it up, open CamStudio, resize the camstudio frame to where you want to snapshot, and snapshot the frame.

SnapNDrag

SnapNDrag is a good program to make a simple screenshot on a selection or window.  The program also includes time capture that can give you up to 15sec or more to snap shot your selection.  The only part about the program is the resizing of the selection to capture is not like other interfaces that allows you to drag the arrow to resize the screen capture.

ScreenCast O Matic (SOC)

ScreenCast O Matic is a screen Capture recording program.  It has a simple interface, includes start and stop recording options. In the free version there exporting option to YouTube. Another feature I like is you can turn short videos into animated Gifs.There is an option to purchase the premium version that includes extra features for an annunal subscription of $15. The Pro version includes more exporting options to Google Drive, Vimeo, and more!  Now there is a free and paid version and the free version is very limited and the video will contain a watermark.I use the pro version and it costs $15 per year which I feel is reasonable and includes no watermark, editing options, and password protected

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS)

OBS is opensource freeware software tool to record, broadcast your webcam live streams.  The software also has editing options for users. OBS has a 32 and 64 bit versions available and allows users to contribute to improve source codes

Camtasia Studio 

Camtasia Studio is a screen recorder.  The software allows you to edit with many other options, including the option to record on-screen selections, add interactive parts almost similar to the surface of a Smart Board module.  exporting to shared networks such as Youtube.  The cost of Camtasia Studio if it fits in your budget is $299.   

Screenr 

Screenr is similar to ScreenCast O Matic and an application that runs on Java script.   It does not require a download. There features include mobile compatibility in Windows and Mac and requires no download.   Just click and record if you want an instant ScreenCast.



TIpCam
TipCam is an application for  screen capturing.  Features include export options to formats .AVI and .FLV.  The editing options allow users to trim the beginning and end of the video sequence.  Smart zooming and Free-style annotations are extra features that makes TipCam a good program for basic screen capture projects.



Windows Media Encoder
Windows Media Encoder is great video capturing tool for windows.  Users can capture prerecorded audio and video, with live streaming and sharing options..  The features include HD (high-definition)  video, mutichannel sound for voiceover and music.

If you if do not fit the requirements to be cast for the episode, but would still like to be involved, we are also looking for casting helpers. If your casting recommendations lead to a casting, you will recieve an MTV casting credit and if we cast in the area, there is potential for an on-set production internship while we film the episode.

School is Out for Summer 2012

School is out for summer!  For some if you passed all of your classes to proceed to the next grade.  As you know, earlier in the year, the district passed changes to the school budget, which resulted in the close of summer school.  There were only a few schools in Philadelphia offering courses for students to succeed to the next grade.  With this outcome, students will not only have to work harder to keep a passing grade in prevention to repeat the grade.  Contributors of failure to the next level are from factors of not completing assignments, passe attention to lessons, distractions from intergrating special need students in the classrooms who need undivided attention, and defiant behavior. Teachers will continue to collectively figure out ways to captivate the attention of students for more than 5 minutes. School recommences September 6^th, 2012.

Islamic Execution for Christian Faith

IRAN- Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani in Iran faces execution under Sharia Law who refuses to renounce his Christian faith.  He is convicted of not practicing Islam although he never proclaimed Islam.  He has been jailed for 2 years. His wife has been in prison for 1 year from their two boys.  It would further show disregard freedom in practice of religion.  Hilary Clinton secretary of state top diplomat called to pressure Iran on the release of the pastor.  They asked for the Ayatollah’s opinion on this matter and holds the power to release him.  However, nothing has been in completion to his release.  Please if anyone has any ounce of human compassion and could imagine themselves under Sharia Law, one would expect significant support to save a life.  Ones freedom of expression should not be under oppressive conditions.

International Museum Day May 18th

Philadelphia, PA - Today was in honor of International Museum Day on May 18^th.  The Admission to the Art Museum of Philadelphia was open to the public and welcomed locals and tourist from all over the world.  The four free tours include “American Mavericks” in the 19th century.

Whitney Houston Dies at Age 48

Beverly Hills, CA- On February 11^th, 2012 Whitney’s bodyguard found her in body dead in the hotel bathroom at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. Official Coroners reported that she died from 'accidentally' drowning in the bathtub.  contributing factors of heroine, heart disease, and from Bobby Christina is under the careful care of her grandmother.  Fans all around the world gave condolences to the families during the private service.  There is a danger in mixing prescription drugs with alcohol.  We must consider the families during this time and keep them in prayer.  Studies report that prescription drugs are one of the leading fatalities in the nation.

Whitney Houston had hit after hit after having several songs that reached #1 on the Billboard 100 Hot Hits.  Houston had a long time relationship with record producer and mongul Clive Davis.  In 1986, the debut Whitney Houston album ranked number 254 as one of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.  She is the only female artist following Elton John to have two albums to reach the Billboard 200 Chart.  Houston's first acting role in "The Body Guard" featured the hit "I Will Always Love You" in 1992.  The single noted her to be one of the best-selling single female artist.  In 1994,  the hit won a Grammy award.  She continued to contribute great film soundtracks including "Waiting to Exhale" and "The Preachers Wife" soundtrack, that became the top selling gospel album in history.  She was honored by Guinness World Records as "the most awarded female act of all time."  Many female artist follow in her footsteps including Brandy and Monica. Her albums has sold over 200 million worldwide.
